Privacy Policy
Note: This is a courtesy translation of the German privacy policy. In case of doubt the German version applies.
This policy explains which personal data is processed when you use the iOS app “Anwurf” and this website. In short: the app does not collect or transmit any personal data. Data only arises when you visit this website and when you contact us.

See also the Legal Notice. No data protection officer has been appointed because the statutory requirements for this are not met.
2. The app “Anwurf”
- No data collection: The app does not collect or transmit any personal data. There is no user account, no tracking, no third-party analytics or crash-reporting services and no advertising. In normal operation the app does not connect to any server.
- Local storage: Save games and settings are stored exclusively on your device. They are not transmitted to us or to third parties and are deleted when you uninstall the app. Note that, depending on your iOS settings, save games may be part of a device backup (for example an iCloud backup); this is done by iOS, not by the app.
- External links: The menu items “Privacy”, “Legal Notice” and “Support” and the feedback board open in the in-app browser (Safari View Controller) only after you tap them. Only then is a connection to the respective website established; sections 4 to 7 of this policy or the terms of the respective provider apply.
- Purpose, legal basis, storage period, recipients: Because we do not collect personal data, we carry out no processing in this respect and there are no recipients. Local processing on your device serves only to provide the app’s functions.
3. Apple (App Store, TestFlight)
You obtain the app through the Apple App Store, possibly as a pre-release through TestFlight. Apple processes data in this context (for example Apple ID, payment, device and usage data) under its own responsibility; Apple’s privacy policy applies. We have no influence on this.
- Crash and diagnostic data: We only receive such data if you have allowed sharing analytics data with app developers in the iOS settings, and only in anonymised form through Apple. We cannot trace it back to you.
- TestFlight: Apple provides testers with feedback features there (for example screenshot feedback and crash reports). What you send through them reaches us via Apple; Apple’s privacy policy applies.
- Legal basis for our receipt of such feedback: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving the app) or your consent in iOS (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Storage period: until the feedback has been dealt with, then deletion. Recipient/processor: Apple Distribution International Ltd. (Ireland) or Apple Inc. (USA).
4. Website hosting and server log files
When you visit this website, the web server processes technically necessary access data (server log files): IP address, date and time of the request, requested page or file (URL), amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, browser and operating system information (user agent) and, where applicable, the previously visited page (referrer).
- Purpose: Delivering the website and ensuring stability and security (defence against attacks and misuse).
- Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the website).
- Storage period: Cloudflare deletes the log data after a short time; the exact period depends on Cloudflare’s retention rules and is usually only a few days to weeks.
- Recipient / processor: The website is hosted and delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare (Cloudflare Data Processing Addendum). Cloudflare’s privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
- Transfer to a third country: As Cloudflare is based in the USA, data may be transferred to a third country. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer relies on the adequacy decision of the EU Commission (Art. 45 GDPR) and additionally on the standard contractual clauses included in the data processing agreement (Art. 46 GDPR).
5. No cookies, no tracking, no external resources
This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics tools. Fonts, images and stylesheets are delivered together with the website through our hosting provider (section 4); no external font services or embedded third-party content are loaded when a page is viewed. A cookie banner is therefore not required. A connection to third parties only arises when you click an external link or submit the contact form (sections 6 and 7).
6. Contact: form (Formspree) and email
For questions, problems and privacy requests we offer a contact form on the support page. Alternatively you can write an email to sven@schannak.com.
Contact form
- Data processed: Name (optional), email address, category of the request, device and iOS and app version (optional), message, the selected language and the subject. In addition, technical metadata is generated, in particular your IP address and the time of submission.
- Purpose: Handling and answering your request, including replying to your email address, and troubleshooting; a hidden field protects against automated spam.
- Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling requests efficiently); where your request aims at a contract or pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Recipient / processor: The form is operated by Formspree, Inc., USA, and hosted on Amazon Web Services in the USA. When you submit it, your details are transmitted to Formspree, processed there and forwarded to us. Formspree acts as our processor. A connection to Formspree is only established when you submit the form, not when the page is loaded. Formspree’s privacy policy: https://formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy/.
- Transfer to a third country: As Formspree is based in the USA and processes the data there, data is transferred to a third country. According to Formspree, it uses the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) as a processor; details are on Formspree’s security page.
- Storage period: We keep your request for as long as it is needed to handle it, but no longer than 12 months after it has been dealt with. We then delete it, including at Formspree, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
- Voluntary nature: The required fields must be filled in so that we can reply. Without them we cannot handle your request. There is no automated decision-making.
If you write to us by email, we process your email address, the content of your message and the email metadata to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(f) or (b) GDPR) and delete them after the matter is concluded unless retention obligations apply. Note that emails may be transmitted unencrypted in transit.
7. Feedback board (Featurebase)
For ideas and wishes we link to the public feedback board at Featurebase. The board is not embedded in this website or the app; it only opens when you click the link. From then on the provider processes data (for example IP address and, for posts or votes, your details) under its own responsibility; its terms and privacy policy apply. Posts on the board are visible to other users. Please do not publish personal or confidential information there; use the contact form for problems.
8. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the following rights:
- Access to the data processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
To exercise your rights an informal message to sven@schannak.com or through the contact form (category “Privacy”) is sufficient.
Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Der Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), Werderstraße 74a, 19055 Schwerin, Germany, www.datenschutz-mv.de.
9. Updates and changes
Last updated: 1 November 2026. We will adapt this policy if the app, the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
